About
Yilin Eileen Zhao earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music from the University of Texas at Austin. During her time at the university, she studied under the guidance of Dr. David Renner and Dr. Andrew Brownell. She actively participated in collaborative activities and performances, working with fellow musicians on various projects. This passion for musical collaboration has continued to inspire her throughout her teaching career.
With over 6 years of teaching experience, Eileen is dedicated to providing high-quality instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. As part of her commitment to the Piano Project at the Butler School of Music, she received training from Prof. Sophia Gilmson and Dr. Margarita Denenburg. Teaching students of different ages has given her a solid understanding of how to customize instruction to individual learning styles and interests.

Eileen's teaching approach is anchored in promoting healthy playing techniques and nurturing a profound understanding of musical context. She tailors each lesson to align with the individual student's goals and interests, ensuring a personalized learning experience.
Eileen shares her musical skills and knowledge with students in a patient and creative manner. Her focus is on the unique potential within every student, working tirelessly to help them reach their peak musical potential.
